ABOUt ME
All I ever wanted to do in life was be an artist, it did not matter in what way or form.
My career started around 2005 by chance and thankfully I have never looked back again. Every new project and experience it brought has made me fall in love even more with my craft.
I really do my finest work when challenged, I adapt easily to new people and enjoy the opportunities it has brought me. In particular, all the exotic locations that I have had the privilege to travel to.
As I climb the career ladder, I have had the opportunity to design a few shows,be ‘Key Make-Up’ or ‘Supervisor’ for a team. In addition to being a team leader, I am still learning daily under the guidance of great artists in the field as we are never to wise or old to learn a new skill.
Being so passionate about what I do, I have realised that making a film is a collaboration of ideas, skills and talent of both the cast and crew. This amazing process is what finally ends up on screen and what I absolutely live for.

We can not always take the credit solely for a job done. It takes a team to create a look , and when you collaborate with creatives you get to see the bigger picture and create a beter out come.

My job is not just to creative art. My duties go much further than that , I need to access a situation so become an ear to listen , shoulder to cry on or even a friend. My job is to stay neutral when things get tense and be able to set a good tone for the artist for the rest of their work day.

So who every told you this industry is all about the glamour..they lied. Well maybe just a little. The most successful production can take you to the most extreme locations with the least bearable circumstances. You are required to adapt to new people, cultures and environments every day. As bad a day could feel the end product is always a great feeling of sweet success.

You are only as strong as your fellow team members. Building good relationships in our work industry is important and that reflects in our work. Not everyone has the same qualities or strengths but if you know how to utilise a team you can get perfect balance. I like to work with various teams and Designers , this is a great way to learn new skills and ways of doing things.

The art of illusion. We always want to push the limit with in our art ,but the true art is in creating a character that does not make the viewer question what you did . Rather make them truly believe that you did almost no work and let them falling in love with the character.

Clients come to shoot in Cape Town for its great diversity in locations . And in just the same way my work needs to be diverse to satisfy every clients needs. The saying "Jack of all trades master of..." ? I do not believe. Yes I do excel in some areas more than other but I strive to be the best at what I do and let my work be a testament of that.
